Big congratulations to Emma, who successfully defended her Master’s thesis today! In just six months, she learned so much and collected amazing data, which she presented beautifully. We are very proud and wish Emma all the best in her future career in industry

Together with Vladimir Matchkov I organized a seminar with the topic “The role of astrocytes in the control of brain homeostasis and excitatory state”. After the seminar with an amazingly active audience, we a day full of focused discussions and brain storming together with Alexej Verkhratsky and Kai Kaila.

I spent two days full of exciting scientific discussions and presentations in Stockholm at the Symposium on Astrocytes in Brain Function and Disease. We had the honor of presenting at the Nobel Forum and enjoyed an amazing program.

We spent a full day with Prof. Eunji Cheong from Department of Biotechnology, Yonsei University, South Korea. We enjoyed scientific discussion, danish Smørrebrød and an amazing presentation by Prof. Cheong about her latest research.
